15 HOME REMEDIES FOR REMOVING ACNE

1. Avocado
Mash avocado pulp and add some honey to it. Apply this paste, and rinse off with lukewarm water after 20-25 minutes. Rub moisturizer as per your skin type.

2. Mustard
Mustard is a good source of zinc, omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, vitamin C and salicylic acid. All these ingredients do wonders to skin. Mix 1 teaspoon unfiltered honey and 1/8 teaspoon mustard powder. Apply this mask on pimples. Allow it to stay for 12-15 minutes. Finally, rinse off with water.

3. Rice Flour and Gram Flour
Add ¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder and 1 teaspoon of gram flour to 1 teaspoon of rice flour. Prepare a paste by adding 1 teaspoon raw milk to the mixture. Apply this smooth paste on your face. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.

4. Olive Oil
The anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-bacterial properties of olive oil help treat acne and pimples naturally. Take 1/8 teaspoon of lemon juice. Mix ¼ teaspoon of olive oil in it. Apply it on your face. Rinse off after a few minutes.

5. Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil is a natural disinfectant and antiseptic. Mix 1 part tea tree oil with 9 parts water. Apply this diluted solution on the pimples thrice a day.
Note- Never use tea tree oil directly on the skin as it will result in over drying, redness and irritation on the skin.

6. Hibiscus
Boil 2 cups of water. Add 3 teaspoons hibiscus to it. Steep it for a few minutes. Strain it, and add a little honey to sweeten it. Drink it up. Don’t throw away the residue obtained after straining the tea. Instead, apply it on the pimples. Keep it for 8-10 minutes. Finally, rinse off with water. Both ways will help you get rid of those annoying zits.

7. Green Tea
Place a green tea bag in 1 cup of boiling water. Steep it for 4-5 minutes. Strain the solution. Using a soft cloth or cotton ball, apply it on the affected areas. Alternatively, make ice cubes of green tea. Rub one of them on the pimples. Repeat this remedy 2-3 times a day. The astringent properties of green tea will soothe the skin and reduce the swelling.

8. Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe vera is a good herbal remedy for acne and the scars caused by acne. Its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties heal the problem just within a few days. Take an aloe vera leaf, cut it in the middle, and squeeze the gel. Apply it on the affected area two times a day.

9. Witch Hazel
The astringent properties of witch hazel make it an excellent zit zapper. Soak a cotton ball in witch hazel and apply on the pimples for 1-2 minutes.

10. Fenugreek
Crush some fenugreek leaves. Add water to prepare a paste. Apply it on your face and leave it on for the whole night. In the morning, wash it off. This herbal remedy is very effective for those who have dry skin.

11. Mint Juice/Coriander Juice
Mint juice soothes the irritated skin and also helps ward off pimples. Crush some fresh mint leaves and squeeze them to take out the juice. Apply this juice on the affected area with a cotton ball. You can also use coriander juice in place of mint juice.

12. Basil Leaves
Basil is one of the most used therapeutic home remedies for acne. Add 2-3 teaspoons of basil leaves (dried) to 1 cup water. Boil it for 12-15 minutes. Allow the mixture to cool down. Use it on the acne-prone skin. If used regularly, this remedy will cure the pimples naturally and quickly.

13. Indian Lilac (Margosa)
Indian lilac is a well-known home remedy for pimples and acne. The blood purifying, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties of margosa check pimples. Grind some dried or fresh margosa leaves. Add fuller’s earth (1 teaspoon), raw milk and turmeric powder (¼ teaspoon) to the resultant paste. Mix all the ingredients properly. Spread the mixture on the face. Wash off with warm water after 20 minutes.

14. Iced Green Tea
Take a glass of warm water and steep a green tea bag into it.Remove the tea bag and pour the contents into the tray.Place the tray into freezer and allow it to form ice cubes  Take one ice-cube and rub all over the face.Just note before rubbing the ice cubes steam your face so that the pores get open and the goodness of green tea enter the pores.Do it twice a day in the morning when you get up and before going to sleep.

15. Green Coconut Water
Cut a fresh green coconut and pour the green coconut water to a bowl.Take a cotton dip it in the coconut water and wipe all over the face.Then wash your face using luke warm water. Wash your face with coconut water continuously every day to get best results.
